How we do things

True Bearing Neuropsychology proudly provides neuropsychological services to the highest standards and in a timely fashion. We aim to help clients and those referring them to achieve true understanding of their cognitive strengths and weaknesses, without judgment. We go beyond diagnosis to promote optimal outcomes for our clients. We believe everyone has unique things to offer the world.

What we offer

We prioritise client-focused care, objectivity and careful consideration for our clients. Our services are flexible but typically involve an in-depth interview, psychological and cognitive assessment, feedback and a report that captures the findings and recommended path forward. We can tailor services for private, medicolegal or government referrers.

We offer:

  • Neuro-affirming diagnostic assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions such as:

    • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

    • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

    • Specific Learning Disorder (SLD, dyslexia, dyscalculia)

    • Intellectual Disability

  • Baseline and follow-up cognitive testing:

    • Concussion

    • Traumatic and acquired brain injuries (TBI, ABI)

    • Age-related cognitive decline

    • Return to work following brain injury

    • Return to flying or other skilled role (as part of a full medical evaluation)

  • Cognitive testing for a range of neurological conditions including epilepsy; brain tumours; stroke; genetic disorders impacting the brain; neurodegenerative conditions

  • Cognitive strengths and weaknesses assessment:

    • For educational or vocational planning/suitability

    • Giftedness assessment

    • To inform treatment such as psychotherapy

  • Paid parking (Wilson) out the front at Subiaco Mews

  • Undercover Paid parking across the road at the Colonnade

Public transport:

  • Bus - 4 minute walk from either Bus Routes 28 (Roberts Rd before Catherine St stop) and 97 (Rokeby Rd after Hay stop)

  • Train - 6 minute walk from Subiaco Station on the Fremantle Line

Please be aware that our office only has stair access (first floor) and so if you require wheelchair access please contact the office to discuss alternative arrangements.
